FAQ's
1 / Is it okay if I don't have a design in mind before reaching out?
Absolutely! You don't need to have a detailed design in mind when you reach out. Feel free to send me a text, and together, we can collaborate to discover the perfect design that complements your unique style and aesthetic.
2 / Does my helmet have to be new?
No, your helmet doesn't have to be brand new. While I don't undertake extensive helmet repairs, I'm more than happy to transform your existing helmet into a unique work of art. If you're considering getting a new helmet painted, starting with a gloss white helmet provides an ideal canvas for the creative process.
3 / What is the average price to get a helmet painted?
The cost of a painted helmet varies based on the complexity of the design and the materials involved. Starting price is $600.
4 / How long does it take to get my helmet painted?
It generally takes about three to four weeks to complete a full helmet design, but the timeline can vary depending on factors such as my current availability and the complexity of the design. Rest assured, I'll keep you informed about the progress throughout the process.
5 / Will I be able to see what the helmet is going to look like before painting starts?
Yes! Prior to starting the painting process, I provide a visual preview by digitally overlaying the design onto images of the helmet captured from various angles. Keep in mind that, as it is not a 3D model, the rendering may not be perfect but serves as a great way to envision the final look.
6 / Are there special care instructions for the newly painted helmet?
Use a soft, damp cloth (preferably microfiber towel) for regular cleaning. In case of tougher dirt, a mild soap solution can be used. It's advisable to wait approximately one month after receiving the helmet before applying any wax to allow for proper curing of the clear coat. Avoid using solvents or strong chemicals, as they may negatively impact the integrity of the clear coat.
